Jedward aren’t gay and nor do they suffer from autism, their tour manager Liam McKenna has said. Hitting out at ‘abuse’ Big Brother fans having been given the pair, Liam told new! magazine this week that the pair had far more brains than most people give them credit for.
With the duo becoming millionaires before their 20th birthday, they must be doing something right.
Speaking about suggestions that the pair suffered from some sort of mental disorder, Liam said: “That’s just people being unkind.
“There is nothing wrong with them. They’re childlike but they’re more intelligent and clued up than people give them credit for.”
And talking about questions over their sexuality – raised both by fans and housemates including Darryn – Liam explained: “They are really shy. I’m sure they do fancy girls but don’t like talking about sex as they’re probably away that their granny is watching.
“Darryn was just stirring s**t. They’re not gay.”
In the interview – which is out now – Liam also revealed how the guys really are as ‘clean’ as they make out: “They’re anti-drink and drugs, they don’t eat junk food, smoke or even swear.”
And despite a £1 million deal to take part in the three-week series, Liam insisted: “They save everything. They can afford to fly first class whenever they go anywhere but chose not to.
“Everyone should get HD so they can see exactly what our skin looks like. We’re going to be dancing in our underpants. Our fans are really excited about seeing us shower, seeing us work out, seeing us with our tops off and seeing us picking our nose.”—John. (via vilelittlecreatures)
